Seagate FireCuda X1070 2TB NVMe SSD, 7200MB/s
2 TB (2000 GB)M.2 2280 / PCIe Gen4 x4Up to 7200 / 6500 MB/s1200 TBW
Upgrade a compatible PC or handheld with 2 TB of internal solid-state storage for your operating system, games and working files. The FireCuda X1070 ZP2000GS3A001 is an M.2 2280 NVMe drive using PCIe Gen4 x4, rated up to 7200 MB/s sequential read and 6500 MB/s sequential write. This listing is for one SSD; equipment shown in the installation image is illustrative.
Before you order:
Check for an M.2 M-key slot that supports PCIe NVMe and an 80 mm-long 2280 drive. A SATA-only M.2 slot is not sufficient. PCIe Gen3 compatibility is listed, but reaching the maximum Gen4 performance requires an appropriate host. Follow the computer manufacturer installation and thermal requirements.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Seagate FireCuda X1070 2TB SSD
- Manufacturer-listed extras: 1-month Xbox Ultimate Game Pass trial for new customers, 2-month Adobe Creative Cloud Pro trial and 3-year Rescue Data Recovery Services. Eligibility, redemption and regional availability are subject to the respective terms; Rescue is not available in all countries.
What It Means in Practice
- Back up existing data, install the drive in a compatible M.2 slot following the host instructions, then initialise/format it or install/migrate the operating system using a suitable workflow. Installing a new SSD does not automatically copy the old drive.
- The maximum performance figures are fresh-out-of-box results on a newly formatted drive, measured with CrystalDiskMark 8.0.4 on a Windows 11 64-bit PCIe Gen4 host. Actual results vary with firmware, hardware, configuration and drive state.
- 2 TB is a decimal capacity. Formatting, system functions and the operating system measurement method reduce the capacity shown as available.
What Will Not Work
- Choose a different drive or a separately verified enclosure if you require SATA, another M.2 length or a ready-to-use external USB drive.
- Maximum benchmark values are not guaranteed sustained write speeds or guaranteed improvements in game frame rate.
Key Features
Gen4 storage performance
The 2TB variant is rated for up to 7200/6500 MB/s sequential read/write and up to 900000/1000000 IOPS random read/write under the stated test conditions.
1200 TBW endurance rating
The endurance specification describes rated total writes. The separate MTBF value is a reliability statistic, not a promise that an individual drive will last that many hours.
SeaTools support
Seagate lists SeaTools SSD software for health checks, performance tuning and firmware updates. Check applicable downloads and host requirements before use.
