M-CAB USBC0003 — USB-C to USB-C Cable, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps, 100W PD, 4K 60Hz, 3 m Grey Braided
20Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2100W PD (20V/5A)4K 60Hz video3 m · braided
The M-CAB USBC0003 is a 3-metre USB-C to USB-C cable rated for USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 data at up to 20Gbps, 100W USB Power Delivery (20V/5A) and 4K 60Hz video, in one grey braided cable. It is aimed at desks and meeting rooms where a laptop, dock, hub, portable SSD or interactive display sits a few metres away from the device it connects to.
Most USB-C cables at 3 m are charge-only or USB 2.0; this one carries full SuperSpeed data and DisplayPort Alt Mode video as well as 100W charging, so one cable can power a laptop and feed a monitor or dock at the same time. The braided PVC jacket (5.5 mm) resists kinks and wear better than a plain jacket.
Before you order: 20Gbps needs a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port at both ends — most PCs have 10Gbps (Gen 2) or 5Gbps (Gen 1) ports, and the cable then runs at that speed. 4K video needs a source that outputs DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C.
What's in the Box
- 1 × M-CAB USBC0003 USB-C to USB-C cable, 3 m
What It Means in Practice
- Connects a laptop to a USB-C dock or monitor across a desk, with charging and video over the same cable.
- Links interactive displays and touch boards in meeting rooms to a laptop at the table.
- Full-speed data for external SSDs and Gen 2x2 enclosures where a 1 m cable is too short.
- 100W PD charges most business laptops, provided the charger and laptop also support 100W.
What Will Not Work
- 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 links — this is a 20Gbps USB 3.2 cable, not a Thunderbolt-certified one.
- Video from USB-C ports without DisplayPort Alt Mode.
- Charging above 100W (e.g. 140W/240W EPR laptops at full speed).
- USB-A devices — both ends are USB-C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Long USB-C cables are where most people get caught out — many 3 m cables are charge-only. This one carries data, video and 100W, which makes it a good single cable for a laptop-to-dock or laptop-to-display link. See our docking stations for the dock end.
✓ Buy it if you need one 3 m USB-C cable that charges at up to 100W and also carries fast data or 4K video.
✕ Skip it if you need Thunderbolt/USB4 40Gbps, more than 100W charging, or a USB-A connection.
→ Also consider a certified Thunderbolt 4 cable for 40Gbps docks, or a shorter USB-C cable if the device is on the desk next to you.
Not sure your laptop or dock needs Gen 2x2 or Thunderbolt? Send us the models and we will check before you order.
