KMP Multipack H166VX Compatible Ink for HP 953XL, 4 Cartridges, Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, High Yield
KMP Multipack H166VX for HP 953XL — 4 Cartridges
The KMP Multipack H166VX (1747,4005) is a compatible ink set that replaces HP 953XL (L0S70AE, F6U16AE, F6U17AE, F6U18AE; set 3HZ52AE) in HP OfficeJet Pro 7720, 7730, 7740, 8210 and 8710–8740 series printers. It contains 4 cartridges: one each of black, cyan, magenta and yellow, all high-yield.
KMP is a German manufacturer of compatible cartridges. KMP rates page yields to ISO/IEC 24711, the same test standard the printer makers use, so the page counts can be compared directly with the original HP cartridges. The set suits offices that print daily and want a lower cost per page.
What's in the Box
- 1 x KMP black cartridge, replaces HP 953XL black (L0S70AE), 55 ml
- 1 x KMP cyan cartridge, replaces HP 953XL cyan (F6U16AE), 30 ml
- 1 x KMP magenta cartridge, replaces HP 953XL magenta (F6U17AE), 30 ml
- 1 x KMP yellow cartridge, replaces HP 953XL yellow (F6U18AE), 30 ml
What It Means in Practice
- Rated yield: black 2,300 pages, cyan, magenta and yellow 2,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711 test method).
- HP 953 and 953XL fit the same printers; KMP rates this set like the XL version.
- Each cartridge carries a chip, so the printer recognises it and tracks ink use.
- Your printer may show a message that a non-original cartridge is installed. Confirm the message and printing continues; the printer settings do not need to change.
- Keep spare cartridges sealed in their packaging until you need them, and install a new cartridge soon after opening it.
What Will Not Work
- Printers that take a different cartridge number. Check the number printed on the cartridge currently in your printer (953 or 953XL) rather than relying on the printer series name.
- HP PageWide printers such as the PageWide Pro 452, 477 or Managed P55250/P57750. They use HP 913A/973X cartridges, not 953XL.
- HP OfficeJet Pro 9010–9028 (HP 963) and OfficeJet Pro 8012–8035 (HP 912).
- HP printers whose firmware blocks non-HP cartridge chips (HP Dynamic Security) can reject compatible cartridges. If your printer has refused a compatible cartridge before, tell us the model before ordering.
