LANCOM LANcare Basic XL (item 10723), now sold by Rohde & Schwarz as R&S®NC Replacement Basic XL, is a five-year replacement service for one LANCOM device in service class XL. It includes security updates until the device reaches end of life (at least five years), and if the device fails, a repaired or exchanged device is shipped within five business days after the faulty unit arrives. RMA is reported through the R&S NC RMA form or by phone on weekdays. The service starts on registration and is tied to one serial number. In practice it gives a large central LANCOM device a planned five-year support life.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The service class must match your device. Each LANCOM device datasheet states its class (S, M, L or XL); send us the model and we check it. Register within three months of buying the device; the device must work at registration, and the service cannot be transferred or renewed. Unmanaged switches, switches with a Limited Lifetime Warranty (some of them are class XL), AirLancer products and accessories are excluded. It is not an advance replacement; that is the Replacement Advanced service.
