LANCOM LANcare Basic L (item 10722), now sold by Rohde & Schwarz as R&S®NC Replacement Basic, is a five-year replacement service for one LANCOM device in service class L. Rohde & Schwarz states that the product was renamed and that identity, function and compatibility are unchanged. It includes security updates until the device reaches end of life (at least five years), and if the device fails, a repaired or exchanged device is shipped within five business days after the faulty unit arrives. RMA notification runs on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CET. The service is registered to one serial number. In practice it extends support for a business router, gateway or controller well beyond the standard term.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The service class must match your device. Each LANCOM device datasheet states its service class (S, M, L or XL). Register within three months of buying the device; the device must work correctly at registration, and the service cannot be transferred to another device. It is not an advance replacement (that is LANcare Advanced L, item 10732). Unmanaged switches, switches with a limited lifetime warranty, AirLancer products and accessories are excluded. Tell us your device model and we confirm the class.
