Manhattan 355971 USB-C to USB-C Active Cable, 5 m

A 5 m USB-C cable with a built-in retimer that keeps 10Gbps data, video and 60W charging at full length.
5 m active10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2DP Alt Mode up to 8K6060W PD
The Manhattan 355971 is a 5 m active USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C device cable for linking laptops to USB-C monitors, docks, projectors and drives placed further away than standard cables allow. Part number 355971 uses a built-in retimer to sustain 10Gbps data, DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode video up to 8K at 60 Hz and 60W (20V/3A) USB Power Delivery across its full length, with double shielding and gold-plated contacts.
Compatibility Note: Video works only when the source USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Charging is capped at 60W (3A), so 100W laptops charge more slowly; it is not a USB4 or Thunderbolt cable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Manhattan 355971 connect a laptop to a USB-C monitor 5 m away?
Yes. With a DP Alt Mode laptop port it carries the video, 10Gbps USB for the monitor hub and up to 60W of charging from a PD-capable monitor.
Why does the 355971 need a retimer?
Passive USB-C cables cannot hold 10Gbps and high-resolution video over 5 m. The retimer regenerates the signal so full speed is available at the far end.
Singular Expert Insight
The 355971 is a dependable long-reach USB-C cable for meeting rooms, lecture halls and desks where the monitor or dock sits away from the laptop. It matches the Club 3D CAC-1535 on 10Gbps and 60W; for USB4/Thunderbolt docks, choose a 40Gbps cable instead.
✓ Buy it if you need 10Gbps data, USB-C video and 60W charging over a 5 m run.
✕ Skip it if you connect a Thunderbolt/USB4 dock or a laptop needing 100W charging.
→ Also consider Club 3D CAC-1579 3 m USB4 40Gbps 240W cable for high-bandwidth docks.
