StarTech.com ST7300U3M — 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub in Aluminium, Desk or Wall Mounted
7x USB-A at 5 GbpsAluminium enclosure36 W adapter includedWall-mount bracket in the box
The StarTech.com ST7300U3M is a seven-port USB 3.0 hub in an aluminium case with a 36 W power adapter and a wall-mount bracket, made for desks, reception counters and workstations where the hub should be fixed in place and every port powered. It adds seven 5 Gbps USB-A ports to one computer port, with upright sockets that keep cables tidy.
Compatibility — check before buying:
All ports are USB-A; no USB-C, no fast-charge port, no video and no laptop charging. The hub needs its power adapter to run. StarTech gives the operating range as 5–35 °C, narrower than most, so it is a desk hub rather than a cabinet hub. The datasheet lists the included A-to-B cable as 1 m in one place and 1.2 m in another; treat it as about one metre.
Best For
✓ Office desks with printers, scanners and receivers
✓ Reception and shared PCs
✓ Mounting under a desk or behind a monitor
✓ External drives that need a powered port
✓ Small studios with controllers and interfaces
✓ Replacing a plastic hub with a metal one
Key Features
Seven powered ports
USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5 Gbps on every port with 4.5 W each, backwards compatible with USB 2.0. ASMedia ASM1074 controller, 1.69 million hour MTBF.
Fixed in place
A wall-mount bracket with screws is in the box, plus rubber strips for desk use, so the hub does not slide around under seven cables.
Powered, universal
The 12 V / 3 A adapter ships with NA/JP, EU, UK and ANZ plugs; one power LED and seven port LEDs show what is active.

Singular Expert Insight
This is the plain, solid seven-port hub: metal, powered, mountable, no gimmicks. Pick it over the ST93007U2C if you never charge phones at the desk and want the wall bracket, and over the Lindy 43128 if you prefer a smaller case and a sub-1 m cable. All three are in our USB hubs range; the usual passengers are one of our external hard drives and a printer. Not sure your computer, monitor or cable fits? Tell us the model and we check it before you order.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want seven powered 5 Gbps USB-A ports in a metal case that you can screw under a desk, with the adapter and bracket included.
Skip it if
You need fast-charge ports, USB-C, video, or an industrial temperature range. Runs 5–35 °C only.
Also consider
ST93007U2C for two 2.4 A charging ports; Lindy 43128 for a larger metal hub with ESD-rated ports.
