Snom A210 — Put a Snom Desk Phone on Wi-Fi Where There Is No Network Socket

The Snom A210 is a dual-band Wi-Fi USB dongle that lets a Snom IP desk phone connect to the office wireless network instead of an Ethernet cable. It is the practical fix for desks, meeting rooms or reception counters where there is no network socket, or where running a new cable is not worth it.
It plugs into the USB port of current Snom D3xx and D7xx phones, supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks up to 802.11ac, and is set up from the phone menu or web interface. Snom recommends keeping the phone firmware up to date (at least V10).
Before you order: A phone on Wi-Fi still needs power. Do not use PoE Ethernet and the A210 at the same time — power the phone with an external power supply such as the Snom A6, sold separately.

- Voice quality on Wi-Fi depends on good coverage at the desk — a stable signal matters more than speed.
What Will Not Work
- Phones without a USB port cannot use it.
- It does not work while the phone is powered by PoE through the network cable — use an external power supply.
- WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise (802.1X) are not in the published specification.
- Snom does not test other USB Wi-Fi adapters, and this dongle is designed for Snom phones only — it is not a PC Wi-Fi adapter.
