Logitech G ASTRO A50 X — One Headset for Xbox, PlayStation and PC
PLAYSYNC 3 platformsHDMI 2.1 4K 120 HzPRO-G GRAPHENE 40 mmMars Red
The Logitech G ASTRO A50 X is a wireless gaming headset with a base station that connects to an Xbox, a PlayStation 5 and a PC at the same time, and switches between them with one button on the headset. It is made for players who keep two consoles and a PC on one TV or desk and are tired of swapping cables and pairing headsets.
The PLAYSYNC base station has two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one HDMI 2.1 output, so it passes video through to the TV at up to 4K 120 Hz with HDR, VRR and ALLM; switching consoles changes both the TV picture and the headset audio. 40 mm PRO-G GRAPHENE drivers, a flip-to-mute boom microphone and up to 24 hours of battery complete the package. This is the Mars Red colourway.
Before you order: Video passthrough covers the two consoles connected by HDMI. The PC connects over USB-C for audio only. Nintendo Switch is shown by Logitech in imagery, but no connection method is published — ask us before buying for Switch.
What's in the Box
- Logitech G ASTRO A50 X headset, Mars Red
- PLAYSYNC base station
- Logitech does not publish a detailed in-the-box list on the product page; check with us before ordering if you need specific cables
What It Means in Practice
- Connect Xbox and PS5 by HDMI to the base and the base to the TV: one button on the headset changes console, picture and sound together.
- Your PC joins over USB-C for audio, with Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic for spatial sound.
- Bluetooth 5.0 on the base mixes phone audio (e.g. a call or Discord on mobile) with game audio.
- The headset charges magnetically when docked on the base, so it is always ready.
What Will Not Work
- The base does not switch the PC display — PC mode changes the headset audio only.
- A Nintendo Switch connection method is not published.
- Without the base station there is no PLAYSYNC switching or HDMI passthrough.
- Host devices can limit the USB audio sample rate, so 24-bit/48 kHz depends on the system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it with only one console?
Yes. PLAYSYNC is a convenience for multi-platform setups; with one console or a PC alone it works as a high-end wireless headset.
Does the HDMI passthrough affect picture quality?
Logitech specifies HDMI 2.1 passthrough at 4K 120 Hz with HDR, VRR and ALLM, so current console output formats pass through to the TV.
Can I take calls from my phone while gaming?
Yes. The base station has Bluetooth 5.0 and mixes phone audio with game audio.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The A50 X solves a real problem for households and streamers with more than one platform: one headset, one TV input and one button. If you game on PC as well, pair it with a fast
gaming monitor and use the base for console audio and video.
✓ Buy it if you play on Xbox, PlayStation and PC and want one premium wireless headset that switches between them.
✕ Skip it if you play on a single platform only, or on Nintendo Switch — a simpler wireless headset costs much less.
→ Also consider the same A50 X in other colourways if red does not fit your setup.
