ABUS IP Dome 4MPx (2.8mm) with HDMI port — 4 MP dome camera with live HDMI monitor output
4 MP · 2688 × 15202.8 mm · 101°IR 30 mPoE · IK10
The ABUS IP Dome 4MPx (2.8mm) with HDMI port (IPCS74511A) is a 4-megapixel network dome camera for shop entrances, receptions and counters where a public-view monitor helps deter theft, with a fixed 2.8 mm lens covering 101° H × 55° V and infrared night vision up to 30 m in black and white.
It streams 2688 × 1520 at 25 fps in H.265 or H.264, runs on 12 V DC ±25% or PoE IEEE 802.3af (8.4 W max), records to an optional microSD card up to 512 GB and works with ABUS NVRs, ABUS CMS and the ABUS Link Station app, as well as third-party recorders through ONVIF Profile G, S and T. Built-in analytics classify people and vehicles, so tripwire and intrusion alarms ignore moving branches, animals and headlights.
Before you order: Rated for -10 to +40 °C and needs an ABUS installation box for outdoor mounting — plan it as an indoor or sheltered camera. No power supply is included (PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC).
What's in the Box
- ABUS IP Dome 4MPx (2.8mm) with HDMI port camera, white metal housing
- HDMI adapter cable (micro-HDMI Type D to full-size HDMI), connection cable for DC/audio/alarm, drilling template and installation tool
- Quick guide and safety notes
- Not included: power supply, microSD card, network cable and junction/installation box
What It Means in Practice
- 101° horizontal view with the 2.8 mm lens: wide enough to cover a typical entrance, shop floor or small car park from one corner.
- At night it switches to infrared and records in black and white up to about 30 m — invisible to passers-by.
- One Cat5e/Cat6 cable carries power and video (8.4 W max), so the camera mounts wherever a network cable can reach.
- Person/vehicle classification means far fewer false push alerts from trees, cats and rain than plain motion detection.
- With a microSD card it keeps recording locally if the recorder or network goes down.
- The micro-HDMI port drives a monitor directly at 1080p or 720p while the camera keeps streaming to the recorder — a classic “you are being recorded” public-view screen without an extra decoder.
What Will Not Work
- Wi-Fi: this is a wired network camera with no wireless connection.
- Built-in audio: there is no built-in microphone or speaker — sound needs external devices on the audio in/out.
- Colour at night: in darkness it switches to black-and-white infrared.
- Zoom: the fixed 2.8 mm lens has no optical zoom; for plates or faces far away choose a varifocal or PTZ model.
- Consumer cloud apps (Ring, Arlo, Google Home): it is a professional ABUS system camera, not a consumer cloud camera.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I record it on a non-ABUS NVR?
Yes — ABUS lists ONVIF Profile G, S and T, so most ONVIF recorders and VMS software can record it; the analytics events are best used with ABUS recorders or the Link Station app.
What do I need to power it?
A PoE (IEEE 802.3af) switch port or injector, or a 12 V DC adapter; it draws up to 8.4 W.
How far does it see at night?
ABUS specifies infrared up to 30 m; real range depends on reflective surfaces and the scene, so plan the main target well inside that distance.
Is a microSD card or junction box included?
No. Add a microSD card (up to 512 GB) for local recording, and an ABUS installation box if you want the cable connection protected outdoors.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
We supply ABUS cameras to Cypriot businesses that want a European brand with its own NVR, app and alarm ecosystem. The HDMI output is its reason to exist: a visible live screen at the entrance is one of the cheapest theft deterrents for a shop. Browse more
IP cameras or ask us for a full camera + NVR + PoE switch quote.
✓ Buy it if you want a public-view monitor at an entrance plus normal network recording from one camera.
✕ Skip it if you need colour images at night — choose an IR/WL model.
→ Also consider an ABUS NVR and a PoE switch to complete the system.
