ABUS IP Mini Tube 4 MPx Black (2.8 mm, IR/WL) — 4 MP mini tube camera, 2.8 mm, IR + white-light night vision

4 MP · 2688 × 15202.8 mm · 104°IR 30 m + white lightPoE · IP67

The ABUS IP Mini Tube 4 MPx Black (2.8 mm, IR/WL) (IPCA34612A) is a 4-megapixel network mini tube camera for entrances, driveways, shop fronts and small business sites, with a fixed 2.8 mm lens covering 104° H × 54° V and a hybrid night mode: 2 white-light LEDs give full-colour images in darkness, while 2 infrared LEDs (up to 30 m) record discreetly in black and white.

It streams 2688 × 1520 at 25 fps in H.265 or H.264, runs on 12 V DC ±25% or PoE IEEE 802.3af (7 W max), records to an optional microSD card up to 512 GB and works with ABUS NVRs, ABUS CMS and the ABUS Link Station app, as well as third-party recorders through ONVIF Profile G, S and T. Built-in analytics classify people and vehicles, so tripwire and intrusion alarms ignore moving branches, animals and headlights.

Before you order: No power supply is included — plan a PoE (IEEE 802.3af) switch port or injector, or a 12 V DC adapter. Don’t order the wrong twin: IPCB34611A is also a black 2.8 mm mini tube but infrared-only, without white light or microphone; IPCA34512A is this camera in white.

What's in the Box

  • ABUS IP Mini Tube 4 MPx Black (2.8 mm, IR/WL) camera, black metal housing
  • Connection pigtail for network and 12 V DC
  • Quick guide and safety notes
  • Not included: power supply, microSD card, network cable and junction/installation box

What It Means in Practice

  • 104° horizontal view with the 2.8 mm lens: wide enough to cover a typical entrance, shop floor or small car park from one corner.
  • At night you choose: colour with the white LEDs, discreet black-and-white with infrared, or smart mode where the white light switches on only when a person or vehicle is detected.
  • One Cat5e/Cat6 cable carries power and video (7 W max), so the camera mounts wherever a network cable can reach.
  • Person/vehicle classification means far fewer false push alerts from trees, cats and rain than plain motion detection.
  • With a microSD card it keeps recording locally if the recorder or network goes down.

What Will Not Work

  • Wi-Fi: this is a wired network camera with no wireless connection.
  • Talk-back: it has a built-in microphone but no speaker, so it can listen but not speak.
  • Wired alarm contacts: there are no alarm input/output terminals — use the analytics events or the recorder for alarm logic.
  • Zoom: the fixed 2.8 mm lens has no optical zoom; for plates or faces far away choose a varifocal or PTZ model.
  • Consumer cloud apps (Ring, Arlo, Google Home): it is a professional ABUS system camera, not a consumer cloud camera.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I record it on a non-ABUS NVR?
Yes — ABUS lists ONVIF Profile G, S and T, so most ONVIF recorders and VMS software can record it; the analytics events are best used with ABUS recorders or the Link Station app.
What do I need to power it?
A PoE (IEEE 802.3af) switch port or injector, or a 12 V DC adapter; it draws up to 7 W.
Will the white light bother neighbours?
The white LEDs are visible light. In smart mode they switch on only when a person or vehicle is detected, and you can also keep the camera on infrared only.
Is a microSD card or junction box included?
No. Add a microSD card (up to 512 GB) for local recording, and an ABUS installation box if you want the cable connection protected outdoors.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
We supply ABUS cameras to Cypriot businesses that want a European brand with its own NVR, app and alarm ecosystem. The IR plus white-light combination is the flexible choice: colour evidence when it matters, discreet infrared the rest of the night. Browse more IP cameras or ask us for a full camera + NVR + PoE switch quote.
✓ Buy it if you need a wide view with colour or infrared night recording on an ABUS or ONVIF system.
✕ Skip it if you need Wi-Fi or a consumer cloud camera.
→ Also consider IPCB34611A is also a black 2.8 mm mini tube but infrared-only, without white light or microphone; IPCA34512A is this camera in white.
