The ABUS IPCB78521 is a 8 MP IP dome camera with a 2.8–12 mm motorised zoom lens (adjustable remotely, 45–108° horizontal), infrared up to 40 m and IP67 weather protection — for professional sites where the field of view has to be set precisely, from a wide overview to a close-up.

The motorised 4.2× zoom and autofocus are adjusted from the recorder or browser, so the picture can be framed after mounting without climbing a ladder. A 1/1.8" sensor with F1.4 aperture, on-camera person/vehicle classification, ONVIF Profile G, S and T, alarm and audio connections and an IK10 vandal-resistant dome make it a full professional camera.

• Network cable, microSD card and junction box are not included

• 8 MP (3840 × 2160) gives about four times the detail of a 2 MP camera — enough to digitally zoom into a recording and still recognise a face or a number plate at short range.
• The 40 m infrared range sets how far you see in the dark; beyond that the image falls off to black.
• A single network cable carries video and power (PoE 802.3af); 12 V DC operation is available where there is no PoE switch.
• A microSD slot (up to 256 GB (card not included)) keeps recording locally if the network or recorder is down.
• Person/vehicle classification lets the camera ignore moving branches, rain and animals, so alerts are about people and cars.
• Zoom in to about 45° for a gate or till, or zoom out to about 108° for an overview — the same camera covers both jobs.

• Not an analogue (BNC/coax) camera — it needs a network recorder, an IP-capable hybrid recorder or direct app access.
• No colour at night — the image switches to black-and-white infrared.
• The 12 V DC power supply is not included.
