ABUS 8 MP IP PoE Mini Dome Camera, 2.8 mm, IR 30 m, H.265, IP67 IK10, microSD up to 256 GB, White

The ABUS TVIP48511 is a 8 MP IP mini dome camera with a 2.8 mm lens (107° horizontal), infrared up to 30 m and IP67 weather protection — designed for homes and small businesses setting up an ABUS camera system.

It belongs to the ABUS "systems from the expert" range: it is set up and viewed in the free ABUS Link Station app, records to an ABUS network recorder or its own microSD card, and runs on PoE or on the 12 V power supply that is included.

• ABUS TVIP48511 Mini Dome camera
• Power supply for 12 V DC operation (not needed with PoE)
• Quick guide and safety notes
• Network cable, microSD card and junction box are not included

• 8 MP (3840 × 2160) gives about four times the detail of a 2 MP camera — enough to digitally zoom into a recording and still recognise a face or a number plate at short range.
• The 30 m infrared range sets how far you see in the dark; beyond that the image falls off to black.
• A single network cable carries video and power (PoE 802.3af); 12 V DC operation is available where there is no PoE switch.
• A microSD slot (up to 256 GB (card not included)) keeps recording locally if the network or recorder is down.
• Tripwire and intrusion rules raise an alert only when a line or area is crossed.
• Maximum frame rate at 8 MP is 20 fps — smooth enough for surveillance, but fast movement is less fluid than at 25/30 fps.

• No microphone and no audio connections — this camera records video only.
• No alarm input or output on the camera itself.
• Not an analogue (BNC/coax) camera — it needs a network recorder, an IP-capable hybrid recorder or direct app access.
• ABUS does not list ONVIF support for this model — with third-party recorders, check compatibility with us first.
• No person/vehicle classification — rules react to any moving object.
