The black Ergotron 98-734-292 adds one adjustable monitor arm to a compatible LX Pro mounting system. It includes the arm, extension, display pivot, pole collar and attachment hardware. Use it to expand an existing installation rather than order a complete new desktop mount; the supporting base/pole and monitor are separate.

Before you order:
LX Pro only: it does not fit legacy LX or other product ranges. Verify VESA holes, screen weight and depth, the supporting base/pole and complete screen layout. The 1.8–10 kg rating applies to a single/dual setup; the manual reduces each monitor to 1.8–6.7 kg for three screens and 1.8–5 kg for four. Triple/quad layouts require LX Pro Large Base and the specified extra collars.

What It Means in Practice

  • For a second screen, check the existing LX Pro base/pole, attach the expansion kit, mount the VESA-compatible display and adjust the counterbalance to its weight. The 33 cm height travel and up-to-64 cm extension help place the new screen beside the first. A side-by-side layout uses the optional Dual Side-by-Side Collar; vertical stacking requires the tall-pole/Large Base arrangement.

Can I install this kit on a desk by itself?
No. A compatible LX Pro supporting base/pole is required separately. The kit supplies the additional arm assembly, not a complete desk clamp installation.
Can each screen weigh 10 kg in a four-monitor setup?
No. The installation manual specifies 1.8–5 kg per monitor for four screens and 1.8–6.7 kg for three, versus 1.8–10 kg for one or two. Check depth and configuration as well.
Is 34 inches an absolute screen limit?
The manufacturer describes it as approximate and permits larger displays if the weight capacity is respected. Check VESA, display depth, clearances and layout before selecting a larger screen.

Plan the entire support system before adding arms. The screen count changes the allowed load per monitor, and the base/pole/collar choice determines whether the intended layout can be assembled.
