Acer Predator XB273U F5 — 27″ QHD 360 Hz IPS with NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar

360 Hz on HDMI and DPG-SYNC Pulsar2560 × 1440 IPS150 mm height stand

The Acer Predator XB273U F5 (part number UM.HX3EE.506) is a 27-inch flat IPS esports monitor that runs 2560 × 1440 at 360 Hz over both HDMI and DisplayPort, and is one of the first screens built around NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar. Pulsar combines variable refresh with a pulsed backlight, so fast motion stays sharp without the usual trade-off between smoothness and clarity. It is aimed at competitive players of shooters and fast online titles who want QHD detail rather than 1080p, with an IPS panel covering 90% of DCI-P3 for rich colour between matches.

Compatibility — check before buying:
G-SYNC Pulsar needs an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. With an AMD card or a console you still get a 360 Hz-capable QHD IPS screen with standard variable refresh over HDMI 2.1, but not the Pulsar motion-clarity mode. No DisplayPort cable in the box — only HDMI and USB cables are included, so add a DisplayPort 1.4 cable if your graphics card uses DP. Two Acer documents disagree on a few details: the EU product page lists 400 cd/m², 4 W speakers and no pivot, while Acer’s launch announcement mentioned 500 cd/m², 2×5 W speakers and ±90° pivot. We publish the EU page figures; if pivot matters to you, ask us before ordering.

Best For

✓ Competitive shooters and esports titles at 360 Hz
✓ NVIDIA GeForce owners who want G-SYNC Pulsar motion clarity
✓ Players moving up from 1080p to QHD detail
✓ PC plus console on one screen via HDMI 2.1

Key Features

360 Hz on both inputs
Acer publishes 2560 × 1440 at 360 Hz over HDMI and over DisplayPort, with 1 ms GTG and a 0.5 ms minimum — no need to reserve DP just for high refresh.

NVIDIA G-SYNC Pulsar
Variable refresh and backlight strobing work together, so motion stays clear even when frame rate fluctuates — on a GeForce graphics card.

Colour-rich IPS
27-inch IPS with 0.233 mm pixel pitch, 90% DCI-P3 and 1000:1 contrast: sharper than 1080p esports panels and far better colour than TN.

Full ergonomic stand
150 mm height, −5° to +25° tilt and ±20° swivel, plus a 100 × 100 VESA mount for arms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an NVIDIA graphics card?
Only for G-SYNC Pulsar. The monitor works with any graphics card or console over HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4, and Acer publishes 360 Hz on both; the Pulsar backlight mode is an NVIDIA GeForce feature.
Is a DisplayPort cable included?
No. The box contains an HDMI cable, a USB 3.0 cable and the EU power cord. If your graphics card connects over DisplayPort, add a DisplayPort 1.4 cable — or use the included HDMI cable, which also carries 360 Hz on this model.
Why QHD instead of 1080p for esports?
2560 × 1440 on 27 inches gives noticeably sharper detail for spotting targets at distance, while 360 Hz keeps motion as fluid as dedicated 1080p esports panels. You need a stronger graphics card to hold high frame rates at QHD — tell us your card and we tell you what to expect.
Does the stand rotate to portrait?
The EU product page lists height, tilt and swivel but not pivot, while Acer’s launch announcement mentioned ±90° pivot. Because the two Acer documents disagree, ask us before ordering if portrait mode is essential; a VESA arm is the guaranteed way to get it.
Singular Expert Insight
For competitive play the XB273U F5 is the most complete 27-inch QHD option we list: 360 Hz on both inputs and NVIDIA’s newest motion-clarity technology in one screen. If you prefer OLED blacks and a wider view for single-player games, the Predator X34 F1 ultrawide is the step up; if 200 Hz is enough, the Nitro XV270U X1 costs much less. Compare all our PC monitors or check our graphics cards to make sure your GPU can feed 360 Hz at QHD.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You play competitive shooters on an NVIDIA GeForce card and want 360 Hz at 2560 × 1440 with G-SYNC Pulsar and a fully adjustable stand.

Skip it if

You use an AMD card or console only and would not use Pulsar, or your graphics card cannot get anywhere near 200+ fps at QHD.

Also consider

Acer Nitro XV270U X1 — 27″ IPS QHD at 200 Hz over DisplayPort, for a far lower budget.
