Acer S1387n WXGA Short-Throw Classroom Projector
WXGA 1280×8004000 LumensShort Throw 0.5220,000:1
The Acer S1387n is a 4000-lumen WXGA (1280×800) short-throw DLP projector built for classrooms and meeting rooms, casting a large image from very close to the wall to minimise shadows and glare. Supplied as Acer part number MR.JYX11.001, it pairs a 0.52 short throw ratio with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, dual HDMI inputs, built-in networking and a powerful 16W speaker. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Placement tip: with a 0.52 short throw ratio, the S1387n fills a large screen from just a short distance — ideal for interactive teaching where the presenter stands near the screen. Wall- or ceiling-mount it close to the projection surface for minimal shadows.

✓ Reduced shadows and glare for presenters
✓ Networked, centrally managed AV setups

Key Features
Short-throw 0.52 design
A 0.52 short throw ratio projects a large WXGA image from just a short distance to the wall, dramatically reducing shadows and glare — perfect for interactive whiteboard-style teaching and small rooms.
Bright, high-contrast image
4000 ANSI lumens and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio keep lessons, slides and video clear and legible even in classrooms and meeting rooms with the lights on.
Built-in networking
As the "n" model, the S1387n adds network connectivity for remote monitoring, control and management — useful for schools and organisations running multiple projectors.
Strong audio and easy setup
A 16W built-in speaker fills a classroom without external sound, while dual HDMI, VGA and ±20° vertical keystone correction make connection and alignment simple.

Singular Expert Insight
The S1387n is purpose-built for education — short throw to avoid shadows, a strong 16W speaker and network management for IT teams. It is a lamp-based WXGA model, so it is a cost-effective classroom workhorse rather than a home-cinema unit. If you need Full HD short throw, the BenQ LH835ST (laser) is a step up; if you want a maintenance-free laser engine for large rooms, the NEC P547UL is an option. For networked classrooms on a budget, the S1387n is a smart fit.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need a bright short-throw WXGA projector for classrooms or meeting rooms, with networking and a strong 16W speaker.
Skip it if
You want Full HD/4K detail or a maintenance-free laser light source — choose the BenQ LH835ST (laser FHD) or a 4K model.
Also consider
The BenQ LH835ST for Full HD short-throw laser, or a standard-throw model if your room has enough projection distance.
