Good Connections GC-N0156 — 19" 1U Cable Management Panel with 5 metal cable brackets, pure white RAL 9010

19" · 1U5 metal bracketsPowder-coated steelWhite RAL 9010

Good Connections GC-N0156 is a 19-inch, 1U cable management panel with 5 metal cable brackets that holds patch cords and power leads in a straight horizontal run between rows of patch panels, switches and servers in a standard 19" rack or network cabinet. It suits office comms rooms, small server rooms and any cabinet where patch cords are starting to hang in front of ports and ventilation.

The panel bolts to the front 19" mounting rails and takes exactly one rack unit (44.45 mm). Cables are laid into the brackets from the front, so you can add or remove a lead without unplugging anything else. The finish is pure white RAL 9010, so it matches white (RAL 9010) cabinets and wall enclosures.

Horizontal managers work best in pairs with a consistent routing plan: cords from the left half of a patch panel exit to the left edge, cords from the right half to the right edge, and each run drops down the side of the cabinet to its switch port. Doing this from day one keeps cord lengths short (0.5–1 m is usually enough) and means a new connection never has to cross the front of another device.

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Good Connections 19" 1U cable management panel with 5 metal brackets, white
  • No mounting screws or cage nuts are listed — use those of your cabinet

What It Means in Practice

  • One panel per 24-port patch panel or 24/48-port switch is the usual layout: put it directly above or below the device and route each cord sideways to the cabinet edge.
  • Depth of the brackets is what limits capacity: the brackets take the cords of one 24-port patch panel or switch; with thicker cords use one panel per device.
  • It keeps the front of the rack clear, so you can read port LEDs and labels and pull a single cord without tracing it through a bundle.
  • Front-door clearance: check that the panel depth (85 mm including the brackets) plus the cable bend fits between the 19" rails and the closed front door of your cabinet.
  • Label both ends of each patch cord before you lay it into the brackets; once a panel is full, labels are the only quick way to trace a single link.
  • If airflow matters, fill remaining empty rack units with blanking panels so cold air is not drawn around the equipment through the gaps.

What Will Not Work

  • It does not fit 10" (254 mm) mini racks or wall boxes — it needs a 19" (482.6 mm) mounting width.
  • It is a horizontal panel only: it does not replace vertical cable managers at the sides of a 42U floor cabinet.
  • It has no brush strip or cover, so it does not seal the rack front against airflow bypass — use a blanking panel in empty units for that.
  • It is not a tray or shelf and must not be used to carry equipment weight.

Key Features

5 metal cable brackets
Five metal brackets across the width route patch cords to the side of the cabinet and keep their shape under heavy bundles.

Standard 1U 19" format
Fits any cabinet with 19" rails to IEC 60297 / EIA-310 spacing and uses a single rack unit, so it slots between patch panels and switches without losing space.

Powder-coated steel body
Robust powder-coated sheet steel with metal brackets: no plastic parts, and the coating resists scratches from repeated moves and changes.

Colour-matched finish
Finished in pure white RAL 9010 to sit neatly next to white (RAL 9010) cabinets and wall enclosures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it come with screws and cage nuts?
The manufacturer does not list mounting hardware, so use the M6 cage nuts and screws that came with your cabinet or add a cage-nut set.
Will it fit my existing 19" cabinet?
Yes, if the cabinet has standard 19" front mounting rails. Only the total depth (85 mm) and the cable bend need to clear the front door; rail spacing is the same in every 19" cabinet.
How many cables can I route through one panel?
Good Connections does not publish a cable count. The five metal brackets typically take the patch cords of one 24-port patch panel or switch.
Which colour should I choose?
Pick the colour of your cabinet and patch panels. White is uncommon: most 19" cabinets are grey RAL 7035 or black RAL 9005, so check your cabinet colour before ordering.
Do I need one panel per device?
Not always, but it is the neatest layout. With a 24-port patch panel directly above a 24-port switch, one panel between them can serve both; with 48-port switches or several patch panels, fit one panel per device so every row has its own route to the side of the cabinet.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A 1U horizontal manager is the cheapest way to make a rack serviceable: once cords run sideways through brackets instead of hanging across the ports, moves and changes take minutes instead of an afternoon of untangling. White racks are common in offices, labs and AV installations where the cabinet is visible, and a matching white panel keeps that clean look. Browse our rack accessories for matching blanking panels, shelves and cage nuts.
✓ Buy it if you have a white 19" cabinet and want an all-metal bracket panel that matches it.
✕ Skip it if your cabinet is grey or black — a colour-matched grey/black panel will look better.
→ Also consider DIGITUS DN-97601 (grey, hardware included) or Intellinet 711074 (black, long rings).
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
