Good Connections 8060-015M RNS Cat 6 Patch Cable — 1.5 m Magenta

Cat 6 · 250 MHzS/FTP PiMFRNS latch guard1.5 m Magenta
The Good Connections 8060-015M is a 1.5 m magenta Cat 6 S/FTP PiMF RJ45 patch cable with the RNS latch guard (Rastnasenschutz), made for Gigabit Ethernet patching in racks, offices and home networks. The eye-catching magenta jacket makes it easy to colour-code special links such as uplinks, VoIP or management ports. Part number 8060-015M (EAN 4014619548163). Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Before you buy
This is a Cat 6 (250 MHz) cord with a PVC jacket — the halogen-free equivalent is the Good Connections 8060-H line (Cat 6A LSZH). Good Connections does not publish whether the conductors are solid copper or CCA, nor a PoE class, so for high-power 802.3bt devices choose a cord with a declared copper conductor.

Key Features

S/FTP PiMF shielding
Foil around each pair plus an overall braid keeps crosstalk and interference low, even next to power cabling.

RNS latch protection
The moulded latch guard stops the RJ45 clip catching on other cables or breaking off when you pull the cord out of a busy rack.

Magenta colour-coding
A distinctive colour that stands out in a patch field — useful for marking uplinks, VLANs or critical devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the GC 8060-015M work with my switch, router or PC?
Yes. It is a standard RJ45-to-RJ45 Cat 6 patch cable wired 1:1, so it connects any Ethernet port — switch, router, patch panel, NAS, PC or access point — with no configuration. It is backward compatible with Cat 5e ports.
Is the 8060-015M suitable for Gigabit Ethernet in a home or office rack?
Yes. It is a Cat 6 S/FTP cord rated to 250 MHz, which comfortably covers Gigabit Ethernet and short multi-gig links; the 1.5 m length suits patch-panel-to-switch runs across a rack or desk connections.
What is the difference between the 8060-015M and the Good Connections 8060-H cords?
The 8060 line (like this 8060-015M) is Cat 6 with a PVC jacket, while the 8060-H line is Cat 6A (500 MHz) with a halogen-free LSZH jacket. Pick 8060-H for 10 Gbps or where fire-safety rules require halogen-free cable.
What do I need to know before buying the 8060-015M?
Check the length first: this cable is 1.5 m end to end, including the plugs. It has a PVC jacket (not halogen-free) and is rated Cat 6, so it is a Gigabit patch cord rather than a 10G one. Magenta is a signalling colour — ideal for flagging special ports.
Singular Expert Insight
The 8060 RNS cords are a practical choice when you want shielding and a latch guard at Cat 6 prices, and the magenta colour makes key links obvious at a glance in front of your network switches. For 10 Gbps or LSZH requirements step up to the Good Connections 8060-H line or a DIGITUS DK-1644-A Cat 6A cord.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You want a shielded 1.5 m Gigabit patch cord with latch protection in a distinctive colour.
Skip it if
You need 10 Gbps Cat 6A or a halogen-free (LSZH) jacket.
Also consider
Good Connections 8060-H (Cat 6A LSZH) or other 8060 colours for colour-coding.
