ALOGIC Elements Pro USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter — 10 cm
USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone jackActive chipset insideAudio + microphone10 cm braided cable
The ALOGIC Elements Pro USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Adapter (ELPC35A-BK) brings back the headphone jack on phones, tablets and laptops that only have USB-C. Plug it into the USB-C port, connect your wired headphones or headset to the 3.5 mm socket, and you are listening again — with an active chipset inside that ALOGIC says improves your headphones’ audio quality, and support for both audio and microphone, so a wired headset with an inline mic works for calls too. The 10 cm fabric-braided cable is short enough to live permanently on your headphones and flexible enough not to strain the port, and the whole adapter weighs just 21 g.
Compatibility — check before buying:
It works with USB-C ports that carry audio — ALOGIC lists all phones, tablets and notebooks with an audio-enabled USB-C port. That covers iPhone 15 and later, current iPads and most Android phones and laptops, but ALOGIC does not name specific models, so ask us if you have an unusual device. It does not fit Lightning iPhones. It is a single 3.5 mm socket — you cannot charge the phone through it at the same time. ALOGIC does not publish the chipset’s bit depth or sample rate or whether inline volume buttons work. In the box: 1 × adapter.
Best For
✓ iPhone 15 and later with wired headphones
✓ Android phones without a headphone jack
✓ iPad and USB-C tablets
✓ Laptops with a spare USB-C port
✓ Wired headsets with an inline microphone
✓ Keeping a favourite pair of wired earphones
Key Features
Active chipset inside
Unlike a passive adapter, the Elements Pro contains an active chipset — effectively a small digital-to-analogue converter — which ALOGIC says improves your headphones’ audio quality. That is also why it works on devices that do not output analogue audio over USB-C.
Audio and microphone
ALOGIC’s spec sheet states support for both audio and microphone, so a 4-pole headset with an inline mic can be used for phone calls, voice notes and video meetings as well as music.
10 cm fabric-braided cable
The short braided cable with TPE housings is built to flex at the joint instead of levering on the USB-C port, and it is compact enough to leave attached to your headphones in a pocket or bag.
Works across phone, tablet and laptop
One adapter covers every USB-C device with an audio-enabled port — phone on the commute, tablet on the sofa, laptop at the office — so your wired headphones follow you everywhere.

Singular Expert Insight
Choosing an active adapter matters: many phones and laptops no longer send analogue audio through USB-C at all, and a passive adapter will simply stay silent. The Elements Pro’s built-in chipset avoids that and keeps the mic working. If you are replacing wired listening altogether, compare our true wireless earbuds, or pick up a new pair of headphones.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
your phone, tablet or laptop has only USB-C and you want to keep using wired headphones or a headset with a mic, with an active chipset and a short 10 cm braided lead.
Skip it if
you need to charge and listen at the same time, want a specified hi-res DAC, or have a Lightning iPhone.
Also consider
True wireless earbuds if you are ready to drop the cable, or the white ELPC35A-WH to match a white phone.
