Apple Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) Pro Cable 1 m
Apple's top USB-C cable: Thunderbolt 5 speed, DisplayPort 2.1 video and 240W charging in a braided 1 m design.
Thunderbolt 5 up to 120Gb/s240W chargingDisplayPort 2.1Braided, coils without tangling
The Apple Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) Pro Cable MDW94ZM/A is a 1-metre passive USB-C cable supporting Thunderbolt 5 data transfer up to 120Gb/s, Thunderbolt 3/4 and USB4 up to 80Gb/s, DisplayPort 2.1 video and up to 240W charging, for connecting a Thunderbolt 5 Mac to fast SSDs, docks and high-resolution displays. It is one cable that covers data, video and power for every current USB-C Apple device.
The black braided jacket coils without tangling, and the cable supports daisy-chaining up to six Thunderbolt devices. It also works as a regular USB 3 cable (up to 10Gb/s) and charging cable for iPhone, iPad and USB-C accessories.
Compatibility Note: Thunderbolt 5 speeds (120Gb/s is a theoretical maximum) require Thunderbolt 5 ports on both the Mac and the connected device; with Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 equipment the link runs at that equipment's speed. 240W charging needs a charger and device that support USB PD Extended Power Range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the MDW94ZM/A if my Mac only has Thunderbolt 4?
Not for speed — a Thunderbolt 4 Mac tops out at 40Gb/s, which the Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable MW5J3ZM/A already delivers. The Thunderbolt 5 cable is worth it if you plan to upgrade to a Thunderbolt 5 Mac or need 240W charging.
Can it charge a MacBook Pro at full speed?
Yes. It supports up to 240W, more than any current MacBook needs; the actual rate is set by your power adapter and Mac.
Is 1 m long enough for a desk setup?
For a laptop beside a dock or SSD, yes. Passive Thunderbolt 5 cables are kept short to hold full bandwidth; for longer runs to a display across the desk, consider the 1.8 m Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable.
Singular Expert Insight
We recommend the MDW94ZM/A for Thunderbolt 5 Mac users (M4 Pro/Max and later) connecting fast storage, TB5 docks or high-resolution displays, and for anyone who wants one future-proof cable with 240W charging. On Thunderbolt 4 equipment the 1.8 m Thunderbolt 4 Pro Cable MW5J3ZM/A gives the same 40Gb/s real-world result with more length.
✓ Buy it if you have Thunderbolt 5 devices or want a single 1 m cable that handles 120Gb/s data, DP 2.1 video and 240W charging.
✕ Skip it if your equipment is Thunderbolt 4 or older and you need more than 1 m of length.
