Compatibility — check before buying:
The lighting connector is a 3-pin 5 V A-RGB header, not the 4-pin 12 V RGB type. Plugging an A-RGB fan into a 4-pin 12 V RGB header destroys the LEDs, so confirm the header on your motherboard is the addressable 5 V kind before connecting anything. ARCTIC also publishes current limits: no more than 3 fans on a 2 A A-RGB header and 5 on a 3 A header, and on the fan side no more than 3 on a 1 A header, 6 on a 2 A header and 9 on a 3 A header. The fan is 28 mm thick rather than the usual 25 mm, so check clearance in slim radiator and front-bracket positions. A 3-pin fan socket will run it but without PWM speed control.
