Argus AS-21HA 2-Port HDMI KVM Switch with Audio
2 PCs → 1 HDMI monitorHDMI 1.4b + HDCPAudio + mic switchingSteel housing
The Argus AS-21HA (Inter-Tech part number 88887241) is a 2-port HDMI KVM switch that lets two computers share one HDMI monitor, a USB keyboard and mouse, speakers and a microphone. It suits a desk where a work laptop and a home PC, or a workstation and a test machine, need to use the same peripherals without re-plugging cables.
Switching is done with the two front buttons, keyboard hotkeys or auto-scan, and a front USB port lets you move a flash drive or external disk between the two computers. Two 1.7 m HDMI/USB/audio combo cables are in the box, and the switch runs from the PCs' USB power, with an optional 9 V adapter input.
Compatibility note: The HDMI cable from the switch to your monitor is not included. Inter-Tech's product page states up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz over HDMI 1.4b, while the English datasheet lists 1920 x 1440 — plan for 4K at 30 Hz at most, not 4K 60 Hz.
Key Features
Three ways to switch
Front push buttons with status LEDs, keyboard hotkeys (default Ctrl + Shift + N, with Scroll, Num or Caps Lock as alternative leaders) and an auto-scan mode for monitoring both machines.
Full audio path
Line and mic inputs from each PC are switched to one set of speakers and one microphone. HDMI audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio pass through.
Front USB for storage
Besides the keyboard and mouse ports, a front USB port lets a flash drive or external disk follow the active computer.

Singular Expert Insight
The AS-21HA is a solid, metal-cased choice for a two-computer desk with one HDMI screen, and it is one of the few switches in this class that also carries a microphone and a front USB port. For a 4K 60 Hz monitor look at the newer Inter-Tech AS-22HUS or the DIGITUS DS-12851 DisplayPort model instead. More options in our KVM switches range.
✓ Buy it if you run two PCs on one HDMI monitor and want speakers, a headset mic and a USB stick to follow the active machine.
✕ Skip it if you need 4K at 60 Hz or two monitors.
→ Also consider Argus AS-22HA (dual monitor), Argus AS-41HA (4 PCs), Inter-Tech AS-22HUS (4K 60 Hz, USB 3.0).
