ASRock Steel Legend SL-1200P — 1200 W ATX 3.1, 80 PLUS Platinum, Fully Modular
1200 W80 PLUS PlatinumFully modular2 × 12V-2x6
The ASRock Steel Legend SL-1200P is a 1200 W ATX 3.1 power supply with 80 PLUS Platinum certification plus Cybenetics Platinum and LAMBDA A ratings, built for high-end gaming rigs and workstations. It delivers 100 A on the +12V rail, is PCIe 5.1 ready and offers two native 12V-2x6 (12+4 pin) connectors with dual-colour design.
Every cable is fully modular, so you install only what you use. Cooling comes from a 135 mm striped axial fan with fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) and a switchable iCOOL intelligent fan mode. The unit uses 100% Japanese capacitors, measures 150 × 150 × 86 mm and carries a 10-year ASRock warranty.
Before you order: At 150 mm long it is slightly deeper than many 140 mm units. Check the PSU bay depth of compact ATX cases, and allow space for modular cable plugs.

What It Means in Practice
- 1200 W leaves headroom for a flagship graphics card and a high-core-count CPU with room for overclocking or future upgrades.
- Two 12V-2x6 cables let you power two modern GPUs, or one GPU without adapters while keeping a spare.
- Nine SATA and three Molex connectors cover large storage builds.
- iCOOL mode can be switched on to keep the fan slower at low load, or off for constant cooling.
What Will Not Work
- It is not an SFX unit and will not fit SFF cases needing SFX/SFX-L.
- It does not include RGB/ARGB lighting.
- Modular cables are specific to this PSU — do not reuse cables from other brands or models.
- It does not provide software or USB monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 1200 W overkill for my build?
For a single mid-range GPU, yes. It makes sense for flagship GPUs, high-end workstation CPUs, heavy overclocking or dual-GPU setups. Send us your parts list and we will size it.
What is iCOOL mode?
An intelligent fan mode that can be switched on or off; with it on, the fan runs slower at lower loads for quieter operation.
Can I reuse cables from my old PSU?
No. Modular pinouts differ between brands and models — use only the SL-1200P cables.
