ASUS Fragrance Mouse MD101 — Rose Clay
Refillable scent vial + dropperBluetooth 5.3 or 2.4 GHz1200 / 1600 / 2400 DPI, near-silent1× AA, up to 12 months, 66 g
The ASUS Fragrance Mouse MD101 in Rose Clay (90XB08U0-BMU010) is a compact right-handed mouse with a twist: a removable, washable, refillable vial in the base holds a few drops of your own fragrance oil, so the mouse scents your desk while you work. Beyond that it is a normal ASUS office mouse — Bluetooth 5.3 or the included 2.4 GHz dongle, three DPI levels of 1200, 1600 and 2400, near-silent switches rated for 10 million clicks, PTFE feet, and up to 12 months from one AA battery at 66 g.
Compatibility — check before buying:
No fragrance oil is included — you add your own with the supplied dropper. ASUS warns not to use 100% pure essential oils; choose oils made for reed or ultrasonic diffusers and aroma stones. One Bluetooth pairing plus the dongle, selected with a slide switch — not a multi-device selector. The dongle is USB-A; USB-C-only laptops pair over Bluetooth or use an adapter. ASUS lists Windows 10/11, ChromeOS and macOS 12. Right-side thumb rest, so right-handed use. Two colours share the MD101 name: Iridescent White (90XB08U0-BMU000) and Rose Clay (90XB08U0-BMU010).
Best For
✓ Gifts and personal desks that want a signature scent
✓ Laptop users who pair over Bluetooth 5.3
✓ Quiet offices thanks to near-silent clicks
✓ Small to medium right hands and a 66 g body
✓ A year on one AA with no charging
✓ Colour-matching a Vivobook or Zenbook
Key Features
A scent of your choice
A removable, washable vial sits under the battery cover; fill it with a few drops of diffuser-grade oil using the included dropper, and refill or wash it when you change scents.
Bluetooth 5.3 or dongle
A slide switch selects Bluetooth 5.3 or the 2.4 GHz nano dongle (10 m range); hold the pair button to connect.
Near-silent, three DPI steps
Low-noise switches rated for 10 million clicks and a DPI button cycling 1200, 1600 and 2400 DPI, on PTFE feet.
A year on one AA
ASUS rates it at up to 12 months from one AA battery; a red LED flashes below 20%. 103.6 × 62.4 × 40.2 mm and 66 g without battery or oil.

Singular Expert Insight
The MD101 is the gift mouse in our wireless mice: the refillable vial is a genuine novelty and the rest is a competent near-silent ASUS mouse with Bluetooth 5.3. Its limits are a slide switch instead of multi-device switching and no side buttons. If you want three devices and a thumb rest without the scent, the ASUS MD105 is the practical sibling; on a USB-C laptop pair over Bluetooth or add one of our docking stations.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a compact, near-silent Bluetooth 5.3 mouse with a refillable scent vial — for yourself or as a gift — in Rose Clay.
Skip it if
You need side buttons, multi-device switching, higher DPI, or scent-free shared desks.
Also consider
ASUS MD105 (thumb rest, 3 devices) or ASUS Marshmallow MD100 (56 g, two colour covers).
