The border uses anti-fray, flat-stitched edges that ASUS states are 12% thinner than standard anti-fray stitched mousepads, so the seam does not sit up under your palm. In the box: the mousepad and an ROG sticker.
Compatibility — check before buying:
One instruction here genuinely changes how you use the pad, and it comes from ASUS: the protective nano-coating may be damaged by liquids above 30 degrees Celsius. So a cold spill wipes off, and hot coffee or hot water does not just make a mess — it can degrade the coating itself. Do not wash it in hot water, and ASUS publishes no washing instruction at all. On size, 360 x 260 mm is a standard pad: right for everyday play at normal to higher sensitivity, too small for low-sensitivity sweeps, where the XXL Scabbard II at 900 x 400 mm is the answer. At 3 mm it lies flat with no cushioning, and there is no wrist rest and no lighting.
