The Scabbard II is ASUS ROG’s full-desk mat, and this is the Kojima Productions edition of it. The surface is cloth with a protective nano-coating that ASUS says makes it water, oil and dust repellent and 1.5 times smoother than standard fabrics, so it stays easy to clean and tracks consistently. It measures 900 x 400 x 3 mm, has anti-fray stitched edges and a rubber non-slip base. The KJP edition changes the artwork: an exclusive design created with Kojima Productions, with ROG and KJP co-branding, and a Kojima Productions logo sticker in the box alongside the mat.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a desk mat, not a mouse pad — at 900 x 400 mm it is meant to sit under the keyboard and the mouse together, and on a shallow desk it will overhang the front edge. Measure first. At 3 mm it lies flat and gives no cushioning; there is no wrist rest and no lighting of any kind. The nano-coating is a surface treatment, not waterproofing: it repels a spill long enough to wipe it away, and it is not an invitation to soak the mat. Two honest limits on what ASUS publishes: no weight for this edition, and it does not label the surface speed or control — the published wording is a smoother, more responsive cloth, so we quote that rather than invent a friction rating.
