ASUS TUF Gaming P1 — Water-Resistant Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad
Water resistantAnti-fray stitching360 x 260 mm132 g
The TUF Gaming P1 is the mat to buy when drinks live on the same desk as the keyboard. ASUS gives it a military-grade protective nano-coating that makes the surface water-resistant, and states outright that the fabric protects against accidental spills — a claim most cloth mats do not make at all. The surface is gaming-grade cloth with what ASUS calls a silky finish for effortless glides and accurate tracking, the border has durable anti-fray stitching, and the base is non-slip rubber. It measures 360 x 260 x 2 mm and weighs 132 g. In the box: one mouse pad.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The water resistance is a coating on the surface, not waterproofing — it buys you time to wipe a spill off before it soaks through, and it is not an invitation to submerge the mat. On size, 360 x 260 mm is a proper mid-large gaming footprint: enough room for low-sensitivity sweeps on most desks, but check the free depth if your keyboard sits far forward. At 2 mm it lies flat and gives no cushioning; there is no wrist rest. Two things ASUS does not publish: it does not label the surface as speed or control — the published wording is a silky finish for effortless glides with accurate tracking — and it publishes no warranty term for this accessory on the product page, the specification page or its own webshop. There is no Aura Sync and no lighting on this model.
Best For
✓ Desks where drinks and keyboards share space
✓ Low-sensitivity players who need room to sweep
✓ Anyone whose last cloth mat frayed at the wrist
✓ Optical and laser gaming mice
✓ LAN and travel use, since it rolls up
✓ Buyers who want a spill claim actually published
Key Features
A published spill claim
ASUS states the nano-coating makes the surface water-resistant and protects against accidental spills — most cloth mats make no such claim at all.
Anti-fray stitching
The stitched border stops the cloth unravelling where your wrist crosses it, which is where unstitched mats die.
Gaming-grade cloth
ASUS specifies the surface for accurate mouse tracking with a silky finish, so it glides without feeling vague.
Grips the desk
A non-slip rubber base keeps a 132 g mat still during fast movement instead of letting it creep with the mouse.

Singular Expert Insight
The spill coating is the reason to choose this over an equally good plain cloth mat — it is a claim ASUS actually publishes, and desks with coffee on them are the normal case, not the exception. For pure low-sensitivity aiming the Logitech G240 brakes harder; for speed, the CHERRY XTRFY GP5. See our mouse pads and wrist rests and our wired mice.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a stitched, mid-large cloth mat with a published water-resistant coating for a desk where spills happen.
Skip it if
You want a wrist rest, RGB lighting, or a published speed-versus-control rating before buying.
Also consider
The Logitech G240 for a more braking low-sensitivity surface, or the Sharkoon 1337 V2 L if you want thinner and water-repellent.
