The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ5A is a 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Fast IPS gaming monitor that runs up to 210Hz over DisplayPort with 1ms GtG response. It combines ELMB Sync (motion blur reduction together with variable refresh) and AMD FreeSync Premium for sharp, tear-free motion in fast games.
Colour is a strong point for the price: ASUS quotes 95% DCI-P3, 130% sRGB and true 10-bit colour depth, plus HDR10 support. The panel is VESA AdaptiveSync certified at 210Hz, which confirms the variable refresh range independently.
Before you order: 210Hz works only over DisplayPort 1.4. The two HDMI 2.0 ports run up to 144Hz. The USB-C port on the monitor is a service port — it does not accept video or charge a laptop. The stand tilts only (no height, swivel or pivot).

- Connect your gaming PC with the included DisplayPort cable for the full 210Hz.
- Use one HDMI 2.0 port for a console or a second PC (up to 144Hz).
- ELMB Sync lets you use motion blur reduction and variable refresh at the same time — useful in shooters and racing games.
- The stand tilts from -5° to +20°. For height adjustment or a dual-monitor setup, mount it on a VESA 100 x 100 arm.
- Two 2W speakers are built in; a 3.5mm earphone jack is provided.
What Will Not Work
- USB-C laptops cannot connect through the monitor's USB-C port — use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable from the laptop instead.
- 210Hz is not available over HDMI.
- No USB hub and no height-adjustable stand.
- HDR10 is supported but without a DisplayHDR certification, so HDR impact is limited at 300 cd/m².
