The TUF Gaming B850-BTF WiFi W is built around the BTF (Back To the Future) concept: instead of mounting the 24-pin power, fan headers, USB connectors and SATA ports on the visible front of the motherboard, ASUS routes them all to the underside. Combined with a BTF-compatible chassis and a BTF graphics card, the result is a near cable-free PC with a much cleaner show through tempered-glass side panels. The dedicated GPU power slot can deliver up to 600 watts directly through the motherboard, eliminating the 12V-2x6 cable from the front of the GPU. Underneath the visual changes the board uses the same 14+2+1 power-stage VRM with 80A DrMOS that ASUS uses on its higher-tier B850 boards, supports DDR5 up to 8000+ MT/s, includes a PCIe 5.0 x16 GPU slot plus a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, and ships with Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet.
Compatibility Note — important: This is a BTF (Back To the Future) motherboard. It requires a BTF-compatible chassis with a cut-out behind the motherboard tray for the rear connectors and special side mounts; a standard ATX case will not fit it correctly. The 600W high-power GPU slot only delivers power to a BTF-compatible graphics card — standard graphics cards still work in the slot but draw their own power from a regular PSU cable. Confirm AM5 CPU cooler compatibility before purchase. A BIOS update may be required for newer Ryzen CPUs; use BIOS FlashBack via USB if no compatible CPU is yet installed.

Choose this board if you specifically want a hidden-connector BTF build in white, with a clean show-piece interior and (ideally) a BTF graphics card to take advantage of the 600W power slot. If you do not care about the BTF aesthetic, the standard TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi (90MB1J30-M0EAY0) gives you the same chipset, similar VRM, the same DDR5/PCIe 5.0/Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and works in any standard ATX case — usually for less. If you want the BTF design but prefer ROG-grade power and audio, look at the ROG Strix B850-A BTF.
