The Auerswald COMfortel PoE-1000 powers one IP phone or base over the network cable at full Gigabit speed when your switch has no PoE. It sits between switch and device, takes 100–240 V AC and injects 48 V DC (IEEE 802.3af, up to 15.4 W) on the outgoing port.

It is the Gigabit counterpart of the PoE-100 and the right choice for Gigabit COMfortel phones such as the D-200, D-210, D-400 and 3600 IP, whose PC pass-through port then keeps its full speed.

What It Means in Practice

  • Switch to the data-in port, phone to the PoE port — no configuration.
  • A PC connected behind a Gigabit phone keeps Gigabit speed.
  • One injector per device; for many phones a PoE switch is the tidier solution.

What Will Not Work

  • No PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) — devices needing more than 15.4 W will not run reliably.
  • Only one device per injector — it is not a switch.
  • It is a wall-plug unit with a Euro (Type C) plug, as shown in Auerswald photos — Cyprus Type G sockets need a plug adapter.
