The AXIS Q6225-LE 50 Hz (part number 02316-003) is a heavy-duty positioning PTZ camera for sites where a dome would not survive or would not see far enough: a 1/2-inch sensor delivers 1080p at up to 50 fps, a 31x zoom reaches a 2.2° close-up, and OptimizedIR lights targets 400 m or more away. The camera and IR sit in a sealed IP68, IK10, MIL-STD-810G housing with a silicone wiper, rated for winds up to 245 km/h and temperatures from −50 °C to 55 °C. This part number (the UK regional version) includes the 1-port High PoE midspan.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The camera needs IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 power (up to 90 W, Class 8). A PoE+ or Class 6 switch cannot run it at full power with IR — use the included midspan. It is top-mounted (upright or inverted); wall and pole brackets are separate orders. Do not confuse it with 02316-301 (No Midspan) or the 60 Hz 02317 versions. At 8.7 kg, check that your pole or bracket is rated for it. Tell us the mounting point and we will specify the bracket.

Why choose the Q6225-LE over a dome PTZ?
It reaches 400 m with IR (domes in this range manage 200–300 m), tilts a full −90° to +90°, has a wiper and a far tougher housing rated for wind, water immersion and shock.
What power does it need?
802.3bt Type 4, up to 90 W. The midspan in the box provides it; a normal switch port is only needed for data.
What is 02316-301?
The same camera without the midspan, for sites that already have 90 W PoE switch ports.
Is a mount included?
No. It sits upright or inverted on a bracket; Axis wall and pole mounts are ordered separately. We will match one to your pole.

The Q6225-LE is the tool for exposed, long-range sites where a dome PTZ runs out of IR or robustness. With the midspan included you need no 90 W PoE switches. For sheltered sites a Q6355-LE dome from our IP cameras range costs less.
