AXIS Q6318-LE — 4K PTZ with 31x zoom

4K UHD31x optical zoomOptimizedIR 200 m+Gigabit, midspan included

The AXIS Q6318-LE 50 Hz (part number 02446-003) is the 4K member of Axis’s Q63 PTZ family: a 1/2-inch sensor records 3840x2160 at up to 25 fps in every resolution, and a 31x zoom lens (6.91–214.64 mm) moves from a 58.5° overview to a 2.3° close-up. OptimizedIR reaches 200 m or more, Autotracking 2 follows moving objects, and the Axis High PoE 60 W midspan is in the box. Axis discontinued the Q6318-LE on 12 May 2025 (successor: AXIS Q6358-LE); hardware and RMA service continue until May 2031.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Full power requires IEEE 802.3bt Class 6, which the included 60 W midspan provides; on a 30 W port the camera is rated only down to −5 °C. No mount is included — Axis T91 wall or pole mounts and T94 pendant kits are separate. 4K streams need more recorder storage and bandwidth than 1080p. Tell us your recorder and we will size storage.

Best For

✓ City centres and traffic junctions
✓ Stadiums and event areas
✓ Ports and large logistics sites
✓ Long perimeters with night coverage
✓ Operators who zoom into recordings
✓ Replacing 1080p PTZs with 4K

Key Features

3840x2160 from a 1/2-inch sensor keeps four times the pixels of 1080p across the whole 31x range.

31x zoom to 2.3°
6.91–214.64 mm optics plus 12x digital zoom for long-range detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

4K or 1080p PTZ — which do I need?
The Q6318-LE records four times the pixels of the 1080p Q6315-LE with the same 31x lens, so details stay readable when you zoom into recordings. The 1080p model has longer IR (300 m) and needs less storage.
Is the Q6318-LE still supported?
Axis discontinued it on 12 May 2025. Hardware and RMA service run until 12 May 2031 and software support until 12 May 2030. The successor is the AXIS Q6358-LE.
Is a mount included?
No. Order an Axis T91 wall or pole mount or a T94 pendant kit; we can recommend one for your site.
Do I need a special switch?
No — the 60 W midspan in the box powers the camera. Your switch only needs a normal data port.
Singular Expert Insight
The Q6318-LE is the choice when a PTZ must deliver 4K evidence at long zoom. If night range matters more than resolution, the 1080p Q6315-LE reaches 300 m. Compare both with the current successors in our IP cameras range; with the midspan included you need no Class 6 PoE switches.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want 4K across a 31x zoom with the midspan included and support until 2031.

Skip it if

You need IR beyond 200 m or a model still in production.

Also consider

AXIS Q6358-LE (successor), or AXIS Q6315-LE for 1080p with 300 m IR.
