AXIS C8110 Network Audio Bridge — Join Analog Audio and Axis Network Audio
Analog ↔ network audioPoE poweredSIP + AXIS Audio Manager Edge5-year Axis warranty
The AXIS C8110 Network Audio Bridge connects analog audio equipment to an Axis network audio system in both directions. It is for integrators and facility teams who want to feed a microphone, music player or existing paging source into Axis IP speakers — or send network audio and SIP announcements into an existing analog amplifier and speaker installation.
The bridge is powered by PoE (IEEE 802.3af Class 2) or 8–28 V DC, has mic/line inputs and line outputs, two supervised configurable I/Os for buttons or relays, and built-in AXIS Audio Manager Edge for managing up to 200 speakers in 20 zones with schedules and priorities. SIP support lets it work with Cisco, Asterisk and other PBX systems.
Before you order: It is not an amplifier: the line output needs an external amplifier to drive passive speakers. Mic and line input share one 3.5 mm jack, so there are no XLR or multiple mic inputs.
What's in the Box
- AXIS C8110 Network Audio Bridge
- Power connector (DC terminal block)
- I/O connector
- Hook-and-loop fastener
- AVHS authentication key
- Installation guide
- No power supply — PoE or an optional DC supply is required
What It Means in Practice
- Add background music or live announcements from an analog mixer to a zone of Axis network speakers across a building.
- Bring an existing analog PA amplifier into a modern IP audio system, so new SIP/IP announcements also play on legacy speakers.
- Connect a push-to-talk button or relay to the supervised I/O ports to trigger messages or mute zones.
- AXIS Audio Manager Edge runs on the device itself — no separate server needed for up to 200 speakers in 20 zones.
- Compact (24 × 56 × 128 mm, 107 g) with hook-and-loop fastening, so it hides behind a rack shelf or mixer.
What Will Not Work
- Cannot drive passive speakers directly — no built-in amplifier.
- No balanced XLR inputs or multi-channel mixing.
- Indoor only (IP20); not for outdoor installation.
- Network port is 10/100 Mbps (sufficient for audio, not a switch replacement).
