The AXIS FA54 Main Unit is the processing and network part of the Axis FA modular camera system. It connects up to four small AXIS FA sensor units at the same time, each streaming 1080p at full frame rate, and handles encoding, network connection and recording. Sensor units are only a few centimetres in size and link to the main unit with RJ12 cables, so the cameras stay discreet while the main unit sits out of sight. An HDMI output shows a single view, picture-in-picture or quad view on a local monitor, and two-way audio, four I/O ports and two microSD slots are built in. In practice it suits shops, ATMs, cash desks and vehicles where a normal camera would be too visible.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The main unit alone produces no video. You need one to four AXIS FA sensor units (such as FA1105, FA1125, FA3105-L or FA4115) and an FA cable for each (for example AXIS F7301, F7308 or F7315) — all sold separately. It uses 12 V DC and does not support PoE; the mains adapter is included. This is the EU version, whose mains cable is made for EU sockets, so in Cyprus you need a plug adapter. Tell us the sensor units you want and we put together the complete set.
