The AXIS C8310 Volume Controller (part number 02741-001) gives staff simple local control over an AXIS network audio system. Its backlit touch buttons raise and lower the volume, mute the sound and switch between three sources, and they can also be set to trigger other devices. It is wired to the I/O port of an AXIS audio device through a 4-pin 2.5 mm terminal block and draws its power (12 V DC, max. 0.6 W) from that device. The white plastic panel (NCS S 1002-B) is rated IP42, measures 114 × 15 × 93 mm and mounts on a wall or recessed in a single gang box.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Not a network device. It connects by wire to the I/O port of an AXIS network audio device with firmware 11.6 or later. AXIS lists the D4200-VE, C1110-E, C1111-E, C1210-E, C1211-E, C1510, C1511, C1610-VE, C1710, C1720, C8110 and C8210. The I/O port it uses is then not available for other functions.
