AXIS P9117-PV — 6 MP corner camera with no blind spots

6 MP up to 60 fpsCorner mount, 176°IK10 vandal resistantBuilt-in microphone

The AXIS P9117-PV (02864-001) is an indoor 6 MP camera made to sit tight in a corner, so it sees the whole room including the wall directly beneath it — the blind spot a flat wall camera leaves. Its 1.1 mm lens covers 176°, the IK10 dome resists kicks and blows, and a built-in MEMS microphone feeds AXIS Audio Analytics. Typical uses are lifts, holding rooms, stairwells, corridors and ATM lobbies.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It only works in a corner (two walls, or wall and ceiling) — it is not a flat ceiling camera. There is no IR, so the room needs light at night. The microphone is disabled by default; two-way audio and I/O need the separate AXIS T61 Mk II interface (portcast). Not sure it fits your site? Send us the mounting position, distance to the target and how the camera is powered, and we check it before you order.

Best For

✓ Lifts and lift lobbies
✓ Holding and interview rooms
✓ Stairwells and corridors
✓ ATM and self-service lobbies
✓ Hospital and care rooms
✓ Vandal-prone entrances and halls

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mount it flat on the ceiling?
No. The P9117-PV is shaped for a corner — wall and wall, or wall and ceiling. For a flat ceiling in the middle of a room, a 360° camera such as the M4328-P (02637-001) is the right type.
Does it see in the dark?
It has no IR illuminators. It works in low light (colour to 0.17 lux) but needs some lighting at night. For dark rooms, add lighting or choose an IR camera.
What else do I need to get it recording?
A PoE switch or injector that can deliver PoE Class 3 (max 5.3 W), a network cable, and something to record to — a microSD card in the camera for edge recording, an Axis Camera Station or ONVIF-compatible VMS/NVR, or a NAS. None of these are in the box. Tell us how many cameras and how many days of footage you need and we size the switch and storage with you.
What warranty and support do I get in Cyprus?
Singular gives a direct 1-year warranty and handles the first contact locally in Limassol. Axis publishes a 5-year warranty on this model, and for the remaining years we assist you with the Axis process. Configuration questions (streams, analytics, VMS integration) can come straight to us.
Singular Expert Insight
The P9117-PV solves a specific problem — the blind spot under a wall camera in lifts, cells and stairwells — and adds a microphone for audio alerts. For open rooms mounted centrally, the M4328-P (02637-001) covers 360° instead. For the rest of the system, our PoE switches are listed with per-port power budgets, and surveillance hard drives cover NVR recording; other options are in IP cameras.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You need to see a whole small room from a corner, including directly below, with an IK10 dome, built-in microphone and AI analytics, at 5.3 W PoE.

Skip it if

There is no corner to mount in, the room is dark at night, or you need weather exposure beyond -15 °C.

Also consider

AXIS M4328-P (02637-001) for central ceiling 360°; AXIS M4317-PLVE (02510-001) for IR and outdoor use.
