AXIS S3008 Mk II Recorder 2 TB — 8-Channel Recorder with PoE Switch

8 PoE ports124 W PoE budget2 TB HDD fittedAxis Edge Vault

The AXIS S3008 Mk II Recorder is a compact 8-channel recorder with a built-in PoE switch for up to eight Axis cameras and other Axis devices. This version comes with a 2 TB surveillance-class hard drive already fitted and records up to 160 Mbit/s in total, in H.264 or H.265 at the full resolution and frame rate of each camera. The eight PoE ports supply up to 124 W in total to PoE Class 3 devices, so cameras need only one cable each. It is set up and managed with AXIS Camera Station Edge or AXIS Camera Station Pro, exports video to a USB 3.0 drive, and protects the system with Axis Edge Vault and a TPM 2.0 chip. In practice it is a plug-in recorder and switch in one small box for an Axis system of up to eight cameras. This article is the EU version.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Axis devices only. The recorder supports Axis devices with firmware 5.50 or later; third-party cameras and AXIS Companion mini cameras are not supported, even ONVIF ones. Up to eight devices, each at PoE Class 3 or lower; high-power PTZ or IR cameras that need PoE+ Class 4 will not be powered. There is no HDMI output: you view and manage it through AXIS Camera Station or the app. This is the EU version: its mains cable is made for EU sockets, so in Cyprus you need an adapter or the UK version (02764-003). Tell us your cameras and we check the fit.

Can I connect a monitor?
No, it has no HDMI output. You watch live and recorded video through AXIS Camera Station Edge or Pro on a PC or in the mobile app.

Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the S3008 Mk II for small Axis systems. Note that this is the EU version: for installation in Cyprus the UK version (02764-003) avoids a plug adapter, while the EU version suits projects in countries with EU sockets. Choose the cameras from our Axis IP cameras.
