AXIS T6101 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface

The AXIS T6101 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface (part number 02553-001) adds two-way audio and I/O ports to AXIS cameras that do not have them. It sits in the network cable between the switch and the camera, passes PoE through to the camera, and communicates with the camera over the same cable using AXIS portcast technology — so it needs no separate IP address. It has a 3.5 mm microphone/line input, a 3.5 mm line output, and two configurable supervised inputs or outputs on a terminal block, plus a 12 V output for a sensor. The white housing is 89 × 63 × 29 mm and 86 g, rated −40 to 50 °C. In practice it lets a camera talk to visitors or trigger an alarm.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Works only with AXIS cameras that support portcast. AXIS publishes the list, including many M20, M30, M31, M42, P32, Q35, M43, P37, P47 and Q62 models. It does nothing on other brands or unlisted AXIS cameras. The microphone and speaker are not included. The whole cable run from switch to camera through the interface is limited to 100 m.
