The Baaske Medical MI 1005 (2005674) is a compact Ethernet network isolator that galvanically separates a medical device from the building network, with 5000 V isolation and certification to IEC 60601-1 — for clinics, hospitals, dental and lab practices that connect ECGs, ultrasound units, imaging PCs or other patient-area equipment to the LAN.
It sits in the network cable between the device and the wall socket or switch, with RJ45 in and out, and passes data at 10/100/1000/2500 Mbit/s. No installation or configuration is needed.
Before you order: Power over Ethernet is not listed in Baaske's specifications for the MI 1005 — plan a separate power source for PoE-powered devices.
