The BakkerElkhuizen BNECHUB3A4C is a seven-port USB-C hub built for a desk that has more devices than sockets: four USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and one faster USB-A port on a single flexible lead. Compatibility — check before buying:
Only one of the seven ports is fast. BakkerElkhuizen publishes one USB-A port at USB 3.0 speed (5 Gbps) and the other six — two USB-A and all four USB-C — at 480 Mbps. That is fine for keyboards, mice, headsets, dongles and charging, but an external drive belongs on the single 5 Gbps port or it will crawl. The hub has no HDMI or DisplayPort output, no Ethernet and no dedicated Power Delivery input, so it will not drive a monitor and it will not charge your laptop. The host plug is USB-C.
