The barox RY-804GBTME is a fanless industrial managed switch with eight Gigabit copper ports and four SFP slots for a total of 12 network ports. DMS monitoring, ring-redundancy tools and IEEE 1588v2 PTP support designed industrial and video networks. This exact non-PoE model uses an external 12–50 V DC supply and mounts on DIN rail.
Best For: Industrial and surveillance networks needing managed Gigabit switching, several fibre connections and DIN-rail installation with a wide operating-temperature range.
Before you order: Supply a suitable external 12–50 V DC power source and compatible SFP modules separately. This model does not power cameras or access points over PoE. Fibre type, distance and link speed depend on the selected modules. barox recommends its own SFPs and does not guarantee third-party module compatibility. Provide a protected installation appropriate to the environment.

What It Means in Practice
- Connect eight copper devices at 10/100/1000 Mbps and equip the four SFP slots for appropriate fibre links.
- Design supported redundant Ethernet rings or spanning-tree protection, then configure and test the topology.
- Use DMS for topology views, device discovery and traffic diagnostics.
- Configure VLANs, QoS, multicast controls and supported static routes according to the network plan.
What Will Not Work
- No PoE output; powered endpoints need their own supply or external injectors.
- SFP slots are 100/1000 Mbps, not 10G SFP+.
- The RJ45 console is a serial management connection and is not a ninth Ethernet access port.
- Wide temperature support does not make the unit weatherproof.
- Redundant DC input support does not mean a battery backup is included.
