Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE Lightning to USB-A Cable — 1 m, MFi Certified, White

MFi certifiedUp to 12 W chargingTested past 8,000 bends1 m length

The Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE Lightning to USB-A Cable, part number CAA001BT1MWH, is an 1 m Apple MFi-certified cable for charging and syncing an iPhone, iPad or AirPods case from any standard USB-A port — a laptop, a car socket, an older wall charger or a powered hub. MFi certification means Apple has approved the Lightning connector and its authentication chip, so iOS will not throw the “this accessory may not be supported” warning and the cable keeps working across iOS updates. Belkin tests the PVC jacket and moulded strain relief past 8,000 bends at 60 degrees. Charging runs up to 5 V / 2.4 A (12 W), and data syncing works over the same lead. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Lightning to USB-A — for iPhones up to the iPhone 14 series, older iPads and AirPods cases with a Lightning port. It will not fit an iPhone 15 or later, which use USB-C. Because the source end is USB-A, charging is capped at 5 V / 2.4 A (12 W): this is not a fast-charge cable and it cannot deliver the 20 W an iPhone 8 or later can accept over USB-C Power Delivery. For fast charging you need a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C PD charger. Belkin states this cable is MFi-certified but not USB-IF-certified.
Key Features

Apple MFi certified
Apple has certified the Lightning connector and its authentication chip. That is what keeps iOS from rejecting the cable after an update, and it is the single thing uncertified market-stall cables cannot claim.

Tested past 8,000 bends
Belkin tests the cable to more than 8,000 bends at 60 degrees in its internal durability test. Both the jacket and the head strain relief are PVC, moulded rather than glued.

Charge and sync on one cable
Up to 5 V / 2.4 A for charging, plus full data sync for backing up an iPhone or moving photos and music to a computer — no separate data lead needed.

Works in the car
Belkin confirms car use, so the same cable covers the vehicle USB-A socket, the office laptop and the wall charger at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit an iPhone 15, 16 or 17?
No. Apple moved to USB-C from the iPhone 15 onwards, so a Lightning cable will not plug in. This cable is for iPhones up to the iPhone 14 series, older iPads with a Lightning port, and AirPods cases that charge over Lightning.
Does it fast-charge?
No, and no USB-A Lightning cable can. Fast charging an iPhone needs USB Power Delivery, which requires a USB-C source. This cable is capped at 5 V / 2.4 A, around 12 W, which is a perfectly sensible overnight or in-car rate. For 20 W fast charging buy a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C PD charger.
What does MFi certified actually get me?
Apple has tested and approved the Lightning connector, including the authentication chip inside it. In practice that means iOS will not show the “this accessory may not be supported” message, charging will not stop working after an iOS update, and the electrical behaviour has been verified against Apple’s requirements. Uncertified cables are the ones that stop working silently.
How is this different from the braided CAA002?
CAA002 is the braided version of the same cable: a nylon outer jacket that resists fraying and stays flexible, at a higher price. This CAA001 uses a PVC jacket and PVC head strain relief and is tested past 8,000 bends. Both are MFi certified, both charge at up to 12 W and both sync.
Singular Expert Insight
The only question worth asking about a Lightning cable is whether it is MFi certified, and this one is — Apple has approved the connector and the authentication chip, which is why it will still be charging after the next iOS update. Set your expectations on speed correctly: USB-A means 12 W, full stop, no matter which charger you plug into. That is fine overnight and in the car, and it is not fine if you want a phone usable again in twenty minutes. The PVC jacket keeps the price down and the 8,000-bend rating is more than a bedside or desk cable will ever need; if this one travels in a bag daily, the braided CAA002 is the tougher choice. Browse our mobile phones range if you are moving to a USB-C iPhone, and our laptop power supplies section for a charger with room for more than a phone.
Buyer's Guide

Buy it if

You have a Lightning iPhone, iPad or AirPods case, your charger or car socket is USB-A, and you want a genuine MFi-certified cable at 1 m rather than an uncertified one that stops working after an update.

Skip it if

Your iPhone is a 15 or later (USB-C), or you want fast charging — USB-A caps this cable at 12 W. Buy a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C PD charger for that.

Also consider

The Belkin BoostCharge USB-C to Lightning cable for 20 W fast charging, the black CAA001BT1MBK, or the other lengths in this line if 15 cm, 1 m, 2 m or 3 m suits you better.
