Belkin BoostCharge USB-A to USB-C Cable — 3m, Black
USB-IF certifiedTested to 10,000+ bendsCharges and syncsWorks with any USB-A port
The Belkin BoostCharge USB-A to USB-C cable (part number CAB002BT3MBK) is the straightforward one: USB-A at the source end, USB-C at the device end, 3m long. It plugs into anything with a standard USB port — a laptop, a desktop, a power bank, a car adapter or an older wall charger — and charges or syncs a USB-C phone, tablet or accessory. It is USB-IF certified, which means the cable has been tested against the USB standard rather than merely built to look like it, and Belkin tests the design to more than 10,000 bends for a long working life. Jacket and strain relief are PVC. At 3m it reaches from a wall socket to a sofa or across a desk, which is why most people buy a cable beyond the short one in the box.
Compatibility — check before buying:
USB-A source, USB-C device. That covers USB-C phones, tablets and accessories connected to a computer, a power bank, a car socket or an older wall charger — which is still most of the chargers in a typical house. Belkin has tested it with the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch 3rd generation, Samsung Galaxy Note10 and Note10+, Google Pixel 3 and 4, Huawei P30 and Mate 20, Oppo Find X, Xiaomi Mi 8, Motorola Moto G6, HTC U12+, Sony Xperia XZ2 and ASUS ZenFone 5. It works in a car. This is a USB-A cable, so charging runs at standard USB-A rates rather than USB-C Power Delivery speeds — for fast charging you need USB-C at both ends.
Best For
✓ Anyone charging USB-C devices from the USB-A chargers they already own
✓ Desktop and laptop users whose ports are still USB-A
✓ Car and power-bank charging where the socket is USB-A
✓ People who sync a phone or tablet to a computer
✓ Anyone wanting a longer cable than the one in the box
✓ Buyers who want a certified cable rather than an unknown
Key Features
USB-IF certified
Tested against the USB specification rather than simply shaped like a USB cable. On a category where every cable looks identical, certification is the only meaningful filter.
10,000+ bends tested
Belkin tests the design past 10,000 bend cycles. Cables fail at the neck where they bend, not in the middle, and that is what this figure covers.
Charge and sync
Data as well as power, so a phone or tablet backs up and transfers files over the same cable rather than needing a second one.
Works with what you already have
USB-A is still on most desktops, laptops, hubs, power banks and car adapters. This is the cable that keeps those useful now that devices have moved to USB-C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fast-charge my phone?
Not at USB-C Power Delivery speeds — that needs USB-C at both ends. Over USB-A it charges at the standard rate, which is what a laptop port, a power bank or an older adapter supplies anyway.
Can I sync as well as charge?
Yes. It carries data, so backups and file transfers work over the same cable.
What does USB-IF certified mean?
The USB Implementers Forum has tested the cable against the standard. Two USB cables that look identical can behave very differently; certification is the only way to tell.
Is it braided?
No. Jacket and strain relief are PVC, tested past 10,000 bends. For a braided cable rated to 30,000 bends, look at the BoostCharge Pro Flex range.
Singular Expert Insight
Most people own more USB-A chargers than USB-C ones, and this is the cable that keeps them useful. What separates a good one is certification: USB cables are the definition of a category where everything looks the same and behaves differently, and USB-IF testing is the only external check. Be clear about the ceiling before buying — USB-A cannot do Power Delivery, so if you own a USB-C charger and want the fast-charging speeds it advertises, buy a USB-C to USB-C cable instead. For heavy daily handling, the braided Pro Flex range is rated to 30,000 bends rather than 10,000. See our

Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You charge or sync USB-C devices from USB-A ports and want a certified cable with 3m of reach.
Skip it if
You want USB-C Power Delivery fast charging — that needs USB-C at both ends — or you want a braided cable for heavy daily use.
Also consider
A USB-C to USB-C cable and charger if fast charging matters, and a shorter version for the car or a bag.
