The BIXOLON CUTTER-TX220-DG is the auto cutter unit for the BIXOLON SLP-TX220 2-inch-class thermal-transfer desktop label printer. The SLP-TX220 user manual lists an Auto Cutter as an option that can be controlled by command, with its default behaviour set in BIXOLON’s Unified Label Utility II.
It suits users who print tags, wristbands, tickets or labels on continuous media and want each one cut automatically instead of tearing by hand.
Before you order: This cutter is for the SLP-TX220. BIXOLON’s SLP-TX220 manual covers both the SLP-TX220 and SLP-TX223 with the same Auto Cutter option — if you have a TX223, send us the model and we will confirm before ordering. It does not fit the 4-inch SLP-TX400/TX420 series.

What It Means in Practice

- BIXOLON’s mounting guide for the TX22x: remove the standard cover, route the cutter wire and snap the cutter in, connect it under the DIP cover (one screw), then enable it in Unified Label Utility under Media Handling
What Will Not Work
- SLP-TX400, SLP-TX420/TX423 or SLP-DX420 series — different printers
- Linerless or very thick media outside the printer’s supported range — check with us
- Peel-and-present labelling — a cutter cuts the media, it does not peel labels from the liner
