Key Features
USB-C with USB-A flexibility
The headset connects directly through USB-C, while the included USB-C to USB-A adapter lets the same unit connect to compatible computers equipped with traditional USB-A ports.
Poly stereo audio with Dynamic EQ
Poly Dynamic EQ optimises audio for voice calls and automatically adjusts settings when the headset is used for multimedia playback. The binaural wearing style provides audio through both earpieces.
Noise-cancelling boom microphone
The boom microphone is designed to reduce unwanted surrounding sound in outgoing speech. Verified exact-variant specifications list a 100Hz to 10kHz microphone frequency response.
Inline call controls
The inline module provides call answer and end, microphone mute and volume controls for convenient day-to-day communication without relying entirely on on-screen controls.

Singular Expert Insight
The critical detail with 8X228A6 is not the core headset specification but the package variant. HP explicitly identifies this SKU as the bulk version of the Blackwire 3220 with USB-C and an included USB-A adapter. That makes it especially appropriate for business rollouts where retail presentation is unnecessary. The Blackwire 3220 itself is a practical stereo UC headset with Dynamic EQ, a noise-cancelling boom microphone and physical call controls. Buyers comparing it with 8X228AA should not treat the two suffixes as automatically interchangeable without checking packaging and distribution requirements.
