It is programmed with the coding of the D-Link DEM-431XT, so D-Link switches identify it as that part. BlueOptics builds it on its BO35J856S3D hardware and backs it with a 5-year functional warranty. In practice, multimode optics are the cheaper choice for links inside one building: most server rooms and floor risers already carry OM3 or OM4 fibre, and the module plus a short patch cord is all a port needs. Before you order, check the fibre grade printed on the cable jacket and the real length of the run, including patch panels.
