The BlueOptics JL563B-BO is a 10GBASE-T copper SFP+ transceiver coded for the HPE JL563B, which turns an SFP+ port into an RJ-45 port reaching up to 30 m on Cat6A or Cat7 cable. It is a third-party compatible module made by CBO GmbH in Germany under the code BO08J78S6, with a metal enclosure and a maximum draw of 2.5 W. It is meant for HPE Aruba AOS-S and AOS-CX switches that accept the JL563B, to connect 10G servers, NAS units and workstations over copper. In practice, a copper module is the quickest way to connect a nearby device that only has an RJ-45 port, without buying a media converter. Stay within the reach shown in the table and use fibre for anything further away.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a copper module for twisted-pair cable, not a fibre optic. It needs an SFP+ (10G) port; it will not work in a 1G-only SFP port. Reach is 30 m on Cat6A or Cat7. BlueOptics sells the same hardware coded as JL563A-BO and, for HPE Instant On switches, S0G18A-BO — order the code your switch expects.
