Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 13.500A Surge Protection Extension Lead 6-Way, 45° Sockets, Switch, 1.5 m H05VV-F 3G1.5, Light Grey | EU Schuko Plug

The Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 13.500A 1159750015 is a 6-way Schuko extension lead with built-in surge protection rated for a maximum discharge current of 13,500 A, an illuminated switch and a 1.5 m H05VV-F 3G1.5 cable, for protecting a PC, TV or router corner against voltage spikes on the mains.

A function light shows that the surge protection is active, the sockets sit at 45° so angled plugs fit, and shutters give increased contact protection. It is rated 230 V, 16 A and up to 3500 W.

• 1 x Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 13.500A surge protection extension lead, 6-way, light grey, with fixed 1.5 m cable and angled Schuko plug

• Spikes from switching loads or nearby lightning are clamped before they reach the connected equipment, up to the rated 13,500 A discharge current.
• Check the function light now and then: when it is off, the protection has done its job and the strip should be replaced.
• Surge protection is not a UPS: during a power cut everything connected still switches off.
• One switch powers the whole group down at the end of the day.
• Through a fused UK adapter the usable load drops to that fuse, normally 13 A (about 3,000 W at 230 V), whatever the strip itself is rated for.
• Add up the wattage on the rating labels of everything you plug in and stay below the rated maximum; heaters, kettles and irons use most of it on their own.

• Plugging straight into a Cyprus UK-type (BS 1363) wall socket: the Schuko plug needs an adapter or a Schuko outlet.
• UK three-pin (BS 1363) plugs in the outlets: they take Schuko (CEE 7/4) and two-pin Euro plugs (CEE 7/16) only.
• Outdoor, bathroom or damp-room use: the housing is IP20, for dry indoor rooms only.
• Bridging a power cut: there is no battery. For a router or NAS that must stay up, use a UPS.
• Protecting a phone or network line: this model protects the mains sockets only.
