Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 6-Way Extension Lead with Surge Protection — Anthracite
6 × Schuko at 45°13,500 A surge protectionIlluminated switch1.5 m cable
The Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 6-way extension lead with surge protection is a Schuko power strip that adds 13,500 A surge suppression to six well-spaced sockets, designed for home offices, TV corners and small IT setups where PCs, monitors, routers or consoles share one outlet.
The six earthed sockets sit at 45° with increased contact protection, an illuminated safety switch with function light shows when the strip is live, and the lead is rated 3,500 W / 16 A with a 1.5 m H05VV-F 3G1.5 cable and angled Schuko plug. The anthracite housing measures 6 × 7.5 × 40 cm.
Before you order: Cyprus wall sockets are BS 1363 (Type G). This lead ends in a Schuko plug, so it needs a Schuko wall socket or a Schuko-to-UK adapter; a fused UK adapter (normally 13 A) limits the whole strip to roughly 3,000 W, below its 3,500 W rating.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Brennenstuhl Eco-Line 6-way surge-protected extension lead (anthracite) with fixed 1.5 m H05VV-F 3G1.5 cable and angled Schuko plug.
What It Means in Practice
- Six devices — PC, monitor, speakers, router, printer, lamp — on one outlet with protection against mains spikes.
- The illuminated switch powers everything off together and shows at a glance when the strip is on.
- Surge protection reduces the risk from mains spikes; it does not keep devices running during a power cut.
- The 1.5 m cable suits a wall outlet close to the desk — measure the distance before ordering.
What Will Not Work
- UK three-pin (Type G) plugs do not fit these Schuko sockets — each UK-plug device needs its own UK-to-Schuko adapter.
- Plugging the lead straight into a Cyprus BS 1363 wall socket — the Schuko plug needs a Schuko wall socket or a Schuko-to-UK adapter.
- Running several heaters, kettles, irons or other high-wattage appliances at once — their combined draw can exceed the 3,500 W limit and trip the wall circuit.
- Daisy-chaining it into another extension lead — the first lead and the wall outlet still limit the total load.
- Keeping a PC or NAS running during a power cut — that needs a UPS, not a surge strip.
- Protecting network or phone lines — the protection covers the mains sockets only.
- Reaching outlets more than 1.5 m away without a second lead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it plug into a normal wall socket in Cyprus?
Not directly. Cyprus uses BS 1363 (Type G) sockets and this lead has a Schuko plug. Use a Schuko-to-UK adapter or a Schuko wall socket; with a 13 A fused adapter, keep the total load to about 3,000 W.
Will it keep my PC on during a power cut?
No. Surge protection only absorbs spikes. To ride through outages you need a UPS.
What does 13,500 A mean?
It is the maximum surge current the protection can divert — Brennenstuhl's published figure for this strip.
Is the cable 3 m?
No. This model has a 1.5 m cable.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For a desk with a PC, monitor and router, a surge-protected strip like the Eco-Line is the sensible minimum. If losing power mid-work is the bigger risk, step up to one of our
UPS range units, which also smooth out spikes.
✓ Buy it if you want six sockets with surge protection for a home office, TV or small IT setup.
✕ Skip it if you need power-cut protection, USB ports or a cable longer than 1.5 m.
→ Also consider a UPS for PCs and NAS boxes that must stay on through outages.
