The Broadcom 05-60002-00 is a 1 m internal specialty cable from one SlimSAS x8 (SFF-8654) connector to two Mini-SAS HD x4 (SFF-8643) connectors, providing NVMe connections from Broadcom tri-mode controllers to SuperMicro Purley backplanes.

Broadcom lists it in the 96xx tri-mode user guide; its white SFF-8643 ends must mate with the white SFF-8643 NVMe connectors on those SuperMicro backplanes. Controllers with internal SFF-8654 include the 9660-16i, 9670-24i, 9670W-16i, 9620-16i, 9600-24i, 9600-16i and 9600-8i8e.

Before you order: This is not the generic SAS/SATA cable. For SAS/SATA or double-plumbed backplanes Broadcom lists 05-60003-00 (x8 8654 to 2x4 8643, SFF-9402 SAS). Other vendors' NVMe backplanes with legacy pinout may not work. Send us the backplane and controller models and we check.
